Gustaf resigns from Wichita Area Technical College
Pete Gustaf, president of the the Wichita Area Technical College and CEO of the Sedgwick County Technical Education and Training Authority, has resigned both positions, the WATC announced Friday.
Gustaf has held the positions for three years. His last day is January 15.
“Over the past eight years I have been committed and focused on the vision of what Sedgwick County and Kansas could and should have for advanced technical education,” Gustaf said in a release. “I enjoyed having a small part in positioning us toward the successful completion of that vision. I look forward to assisting President Frederick in his transition in the short term and am excited to move on to future opportunities.”
Gustaf was not specific about what he might do in the future payday loans.
Gustaf is the former director of the Kansas Technical Training Initiative. Before that he served on the South Dakota Board of Education.
“We wouldn’t be where we are today in this community without Pete,” said Jim Walters, Chairman of the SCTETA Board of Directors, in the release. “He has consistently held the vision of world-class technical education in front of us, and we are achieving that vision because of him. We’ve asked a lot of him, including being president of the college which meant a longer commitment to us.”
